Instead of Islam, America’s biggest domestic terror threat-- pretty clearly comes from the radical right in the country--- was the statement made by the leader Mark Potok of SPLC. this he declared in 2011. For the evidence, he pointed out one incident between a father and son who belonged to the “Sovereign Citizens” movement which killed a police officer at a routine traffic stop. The SPLC takes a dim view of the Tea Party too. “It’s one more manifestation” Potok declared in 2010. “It shows the anger seething across America’s political landscape. And while he generously admits the Tea Party can not fairly be considered an extremist group he says they are shot through with rich veins of radical ideas, conspiracy, theory, and racism. The SPLC’s fixation on the right stems from the group’s ideological bias. It’s pretty hard for them to deny that the SPLC is a political operation that is trying to tar right-wingers and conservative Republicans with a racist and extremist smear, says Laird Wilcox. Privately they will admit this and leftists cheer them on.
Bite 27) SPLC’s Real Goal:
The SPLC has a broader ambition according to its leader Mark Potok. “We hope to move America leftward. This is very much what we want to do---in a sense drag the middle, which has been leaning to the right for the past 30 years--- and brings them to the left where they ought to be.” The political allegiance of Morris Dees, who served on the presidential campaign of George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Ted Kennedy, and Gary Hart, along with the political loyalties of some on the SPLC Board supply a strong hint to where the SPLC wants to drag America. The SPLC is doing much the same in its effort to smear Pro-Family Organizations that support marriage and Biblical sexuality. The SPLC opened this latest theater in its war on so-called extremists in 2010 when it identified 18 mostly evangelical organizations as “anti-gay” of which 13 were named hate groups in 2011.
Bite 28) Attacking Biblical Principles:
Indulging once more in its trademark custom of venomous exaggeration, the SPLC said the groups pump out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals. The list of allegations of suspected “anti-gay” groups included well-respected organizations, such as American Family Association, Concerned Women for America, Coral Ridge Ministries, Family Research Council, Liberty Counsel, National Organization for Marriage and Traditional Values Coalition. The SPLC justified its actions saying the groups propagated known falsehoods about homosexual conduct but pro-family leaders saw the blacklisting as an attempt to shut down debate. “What we are seeing now in the next phase of the Gay Rights Movement” National Organization of Marriage Chairman Maggie Gallagher said at that time. She referenced the recently expressed ambition of homosexual activist Dan Savage to place same-sex marriage beyond debate.
Bite 29) Redefining Christian Teaching:
This is part of the SPLC’s unfolding process of attempting to redefine Christian teaching on sex and marriage as the moral, legal, and cultural equivalent of racism. This was said by Chairman of National Organization for Marriage Maggie Gallagher, speaking 5 years before Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis spent 6 days in jail rather than betray her Christian conscience by issuing “same-sex” marriage license in her name. “I do believe this is the goal of the architects of the gay marriage movement,” Gallagher affirmed and they make it very clear. The letter stated that these facts were developed by the Federal Prosecutor and not by the Family Relations Organization: “The US Justice Dept flew Morris Dees (SPLC) to Washington DC to address its Diversity Training event on July 31,2012. This was just 2 weeks before Corkins attacked the FRC. In October of 2015, speaking to an event co-sponsored by SPLC and George Washington University the Justice Dept officials announced the creation of a new Domestic Terrorism Council to take on the real and present threat of “domestic extremism.” The SPLC, he said, has a long history of tracking and countering hate and their efforts will be critical. The American Family Association host Brian Fisher said this: “The folks of SPLC is useful to the Dept of Justice, which is desperate to paint conservative Christians as a greater threat to our domestic tranquility than people who are determined to decapitate us in the name of ALLAH!”
Bite 30: Silencing Dissent:
The fear is that the Justice Dept. may, like the Southern Poverty Law Center, focus not on the enemy of America, but on the enemy of the Left. From Capitol Research Institute 1965 essay “Repressive Tolerance” promoted the reinvention of tolerance. The essay examines the idea of tolerance. The conclusion reached is that the realization of the objective of tolerance would call for intolerance toward prevailing policies, attitudes, opinions, and the extension of tolerance to politics, attitude, and opinions which are outlawed or suppressed. The solution offered to the “so-called” “Repressive Tolerance” is to shut down dissent and subdue all voices but those on the left. Liberating tolerance then must mean intolerance against movements from the right and toleration of movements from the left. That is the goal toward which the SPLC seeks to drag America. Ecclesiastics 10:2 “A wise man’s heart is at his right hand but a fool’s heart is at his left hand... Isaiah 10:1,2 “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees and that write grievousness which they have prescribed to turn aside the needy from judgment and to take away the right from the poor of My people that widows may be their prey and that they may rob the fatherless.” --- Proverbs 24:24: He that says to the wicked thou art righteous, him shall the people curse. --- Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil.”
