Nikki Haley is nothing short of a political dynamo. As a successful former governor of South Carolina and, more recently, as President Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, Haley has made herself a household name. And she’s made a decision.
Haley has made a move to become Trump’s heir apparent in 2024 by maintaining a team of advisors and starting her own non-profit group, Stand for America, in order to influence public policy — such as passing congressional term limits.
Stand for America has also recently promoted the complete nuclearization of North Korea, a goal President Trump is already working towards through his ongoing negotiations with Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.
A GOP strategist from South Carolina who advised the presidential campaign of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) in 2016 says that Haley is “absolutely” preparing for a White House run. “100 percent, no doubt about it,” said Terry Sullivan.
It would seem that Sullivan has a reason to be confident. Not only is he a well-known commodity in South Carolina, Haley’s home state, but Haley initially endorsed Sen. Rubio for president back during the contentious 2016 primary.
Once the primary ended, however, Haley put her full support behind Trump’s candidacy and played an instrumental role. She impressed Trump so much that he appointed her to the U.N. ambassador position. The rest, they say, is history.
