How Do You Spell Liberty?
How do we spell liberty? Lord, help US understand. Help US spell it in a way that’s clear to every man. L is for our Only Lord. Besides Him there is none. I mean “In His Image” he created everyone. B stands for the Bible...The Word of God Made Flesh. E means Every knee shall bow and Every tongue confess. R means Righteousness exalts a nation such as ours. T means Teach what Jesus Taught for He has given Power. Y is for each Yearning heart that yields to God’s command...to keep proclaiming Liberty throughout our troubled Land.

How do you Spell Liberty?
This series is dedicated to those brave men and women who gave their lives, fortunes, and their sacred honor for the sake of freedom. They were harassed, mocked, and publicly ridiculed. They were arrested and imprisoned for reasons where no reasons would justifiably serve. the new learning of the Protestant Reformation was the original theology of the Apostle Paul translated into English from the original Greek without any interpretation other than what the Apostle said. the study of these manuscripts exposed the error of the Latin Vulgate version which was owned only by the Church of England and taught to the people by proper authorities appointed by the Church Council. I regret that I can barely scrape the surface in my meager attempt to render tribute due. (Romans 13:7 “Honor to whom honor”) I am thankful that God will keep a perfect record of all of them.

Our Greatest Error:
#11) The Time Will Come:
Dr. Benjamin Rush: “ We err, not only in common affairs but in religion likewise, only because we do not know the Scriptures to obey their instructions. Immense truths are concealed in them. The time will come, I have no doubt when posterity will view and pity our ignorance of these truths, as we now do pity the ignorance sometimes manifested by the disciples of our Savior, who knew nothing of the meaning of those plain passages in the Old Testament which were daily fulfilling before their eyes. But we fail further, not only in religion but in philosophy, because we do not know or believe the Scriptures. The sciences have been compared as a circle in which religion composes a part. To understand any of them perfectly it is necessary to have knowledge of both. A striking agreement has been discovered between current events and recordings of the Scriptures.”
#12) Too Much is too Little:
Dr. Benjamin Rush: “I know it has been said that the familiar use of the Bible taught in school has a tendency to lessen a sincere reverence for it. This objection by proving too much proves nothing! If familiarity lessens our respect for Divine things then all these precepts of our religion which enjoin the daily and weekly worship of our Lord is improper. The Bible was not intended to represent a Jewish Ark. It is an antichristian idea to propose the Bible can be profaned by carrying it into the school houses or by being handled by children. It is also said that a great part of the Old Testament is in no way interested to mankind under the present dispensation of the Gospel. I deny that any of the Old Testament books are not interesting to mankind under the gospel of dispensation. Most of the characters’ events and ceremonies mentioned in them are personal, providential, or instituted by the Messiah, all of which have been, or yet remain to be, fulfilled by Him.”

Dr. Benjamin Rush: “It is from ignorance and neglect that we have so many deists in Christendom. I am sure that a young man that has been regularly instructed in its meaning could never doubt afterward of the truth of any of its principles. If any obscurity appears in these principles it is only,,,, to use the words of the poet....”because they are dark with excessive brightness”....Blinded by the light. I know there is an objection among many people to teach children doctrines of any kind because they are likely to be controversial but let us not be wiser than our Maker! If moral precepts alone could have reformed mankind the mission of the Son of God into our world would have been unnecessary. He came to publish a system of doctrine as well as a system of morals.”

Dr. Benjamin Rush: “The perfect morality of the Gospel rests upon a doctrine which, though often controversial, has never been refuted. I mean the vicarious Life and Death of the Son of God. This sublime doctrine delivers us from the absurd hypothesis of modern philosophers concerning the foundation of moral obligation and fixes it upon the eternal and self-motivating principle of love. It concentrates a whole system of ethics in a single text of Scripture: “A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE YOU,,, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER EVEN AS I HAVE LOVED YOU!” By withholding this knowledge from children we deprive ourselves of the best means of awakening moral sensibility in their minds. We even do more; We furnish an argument for withholding from them the knowledge of the morality of the Gospel. Romans 1:18-20) “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who withhold the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them. For God has shown it to them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse!”

Dr. Benjamin Rush: “I can not but suspect that the present fashionable practice (1830) by rejecting the Bible from our schools has originated by deists and they discover great iniquity in the new mode of attack on Christianity. If they proceed on this they will do more in half of a century in exterpating our religion than Voltaire could have effected in a thousand years! Passing by all other considerations and contemplating merely the institutions of United States, I lament that we waste so much time and money on punishing crimes and take so little pains to prevent them. We profess to be Republicans and yet we neglect the only means of establishing and perpetuating our Republican form of government that is the universal education of our youth in the principles of Christianity, by means of the Bible. For the Divine Book, above all others, favors that equality among mankind that respects just laws and all those sober virtues that constitute the soul of our Republic. She names them “anti-government” who’d dare to mend her flaws! / So far away her steps have strayed from narrow paths she trod...When once she PRAYED spelled with an A...”One Nation Under God!”
