How Do You Spell Liberty?

How do we spell liberty? Lord, help US understand. Help US spell it in a way that’s clear to every man. L is for our Only Lord. Besides Him there is none. I mean “In His Image” he created everyone. B stands for the Bible...The Word of God Made Flesh. E means Every knee shall bow and Every tongue confess.  R means Righteousness exalts a nation such as ours. T means Teach what Jesus Taught for He has given Power.  Y is for each Yearning heart that yields to God’s command...to keep proclaiming Liberty throughout our troubled Land.

  How do you Spell Liberty? 

This series is dedicated to those brave men and women who gave their lives, fortunes, and their sacred honor for the sake of freedom. They were harassed, mocked, and publicly ridiculed. They were arrested and imprisoned for reasons where no reasons would justifiably serve. the new learning of the Protestant Reformation was the original theology of the Apostle Paul translated into English from the original Greek without any interpretation other than what the Apostle said. the study of these manuscripts exposed the error of the Latin Vulgate version which was owned only by the Church of England and taught to the people by proper authorities appointed by the Church Council. I regret that I can barely scrape the surface in my meager attempt to render tribute due. (Romans 13:7 “Honor to whom honor”) I am thankful that God will keep a perfect record of all of them.

How do you Spell Liberty?

#1) Lack of Education:

I do understand that we all love our children and would make an effort to protect them from these horrible events that should never have happened. We must educate our children, for looking back we can know that history has often repeated itself. How wonderful to live in America, the Land of the free, because of the brave men and women in our military who loved freedom more than life. As the years go by we tend to put history back in its place of forgetfulness. We convince ourselves, and also teach our children, that those days are never to be spoken of ever again. We tell them it cannot happen in our day. With every cycle of tyranny, we can be certain that the lack of education and the greed for power is the same way it happened and it will happen again if we do not educate our children.

 #2) Dr. Benjamin Rush:

I would like to acknowledge and especially mention the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence, Dr. Benjamin Rush. He stressed the importance of the Bible being taught in the Public Schools of America. In fact, the whole reason the Public Schools began was to teach the Bible to every child and every adult. His letter to America was titled, “Why the Bible Should be Taught in Public School:” I have a copy of that letter written in 1830 and recopied by American Bible Tract Society (1995) Box 462008, Garland, Texas 75046 USA Quoting Dr. Benjamin Rush: “No man was ever early instructed in the truths of the Bible without having made wiser or better by the early operations of these impressions upon his mind.” (unquote) It’s not that the Bible has no business being quoted in public places... but it is ...that we have no business leaving it out of public places!----ESPECIALLY SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS! 

#3) Dr. Rush’s Letter to America:

From Dr. Rush’s Letter to America, he writes: “It is now several months since I promised to give you my reasons for preferring the Bible as the main School Book to all other compositions. Before I state my argument I shall assume 5 following positions. One would be that Christianity is the only true religion and in proportion as mankind adopts its principles and obeys its precepts, they will be wise and happy. the second reason is that a better knowledge of learning Christianity is to be acquired by reading the Bible than any other way. Thirdly, the Bible contains more knowledge necessary to mankind in his present state than any other book in the world. Fourth, knowledge is most durable and religious instruction most useful when imparted early in life. Fifth, when the Bible is not read in school it is seldom read in any subsequent period of life.

 #4) In the Constitution of the Human Mind:

Dr. Benjamin Rush: The memory is the first faculty which opens in the minds of children. Of how much consequences then must it be to impress it with the great truths of Christianity before it is preoccupied with less interesting subjects? There is a peculiar aptitude in the minds of children for religious knowledge. I have constantly found them, in the six or seven years of their life, more inquisitive upon religious subjects than upon any others. An ingenious instructor of youth has informed me that he has found young children more capable of receiving ideas upon the most difficult tenets of religion than upon the most simple branches of human knowledge. It would be strange if it were otherwise for God created all His means to suit His ends. There must, of course, be a fitness between the human mind and the truths which are essential to its happiness. In a world where false prejudices do such mischief, it would show great weakness not to expose them to the truth. 

#5) The Nature of Habit:

Dr. Benjamin Rush: We are subject to a general law of our nature which is called habit. Now, if the study of Scriptures be necessary to our happiness, at any time in our life, the sooner we begin to read them the more we will be attached to them. It is peculiar to all acts of habit to become easy, strong, and agreeable by repetition. It is a law in our nature that we remember longest the knowledge we acquired by the greatest number of our senses. A knowledge of the contents of the Bible is acquired in school by the aid of the eye and ear for children, after getting their lessons instructed and then repeating them to their instructor. There is a presumption that this audible knowledge will be retained much longer than in any other way.
