novel, it’s a how-to guide.
First up, the Republican National Committee accused Google of trying to interfere with the midterm elections by sending 22 million of their fundraising and get-out-the-vote emails to spam folders so that recipients will never see them. Google claims this is entirely nonpartisan, but the RNC cites a study that found Google routes Republican emails to spam at a rate 820% higher than similar Democrat emails. Remember when Google’s motto was “Don’t be evil”? Boy, that sure seems like a long time ago.
Bloomberg's baggage, and barrageTop 2020 Democrats, armed with decades of opposition research, plan to savage Mike Bloomberg as a Democratic Trump — an egomaniac New York billionaire who's stained by sexism and racial slights, and hell-bent on buying power and puppeteering mass media.
The media love to talk about all those poor, deluded Trump voters who just don’t realize how misinformed they are and how much they need to be “deprogrammed.” Funny, I’m one of those, and I read news and talk to newsmakers for a living, so I don’t feel brainwashed and misinformed.
The following is adapted from a lecture delivered at Hillsdale College on September 20, 2021, during a Center for Constructive Alternatives conference on “Critical American Elections.”
The January 6 Insurrection Hoax
Notwithstanding all the hysterical rhetoric surrounding the events of January 6, 2021, two critical things stand out. The first is that what happened was much more hoax than insurrection. In fact, in my judgment, it wasn’t an insurrection at all.
An “insurrection,” as the dictionary will tell you, is a violent uprising against a government or other established authority. Unlike the violent riots that swept the country in the summer of 2020—riots that caused some $2 billion in property damage and claimed more than 20 lives—the January 6 protest at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. lasted a few hours, caused minimal damage, and the only person directly killed was an unarmed female Trump supporter who was shot by a Capitol Police officer. It was, as Tucker Carlson said shortly after the event, a political protest that “got out of hand.”

Current Democrat leaders — whether you call them leftists, progressives, socialists, radicals, or Marxists — are intent on undoing what happened 246 years ago. They know that the key to establishing and maintaining tyranny is control of information. Words such as "disinformation" and "misinformation" are powerful weapons, mightier than tanks, rockets, or nuclear bombs.
In 1722, under the name Silence Dogood, Benjamin Franklin wrote:
Without Freedom of Thought, there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such Thing as publick Liberty, without Freedom of Speech;

Why is freedom of speech so important? As Mr. Franklin stated, there is no such thing as publick liberty without it, but what does that mean? Yes, without freedom of speech, people cannot express themselves, but there’s more. Without freedom of speech, we would never be exposed to contradictory ideas, and we would never grow. The basis of the scientific method is the testing of contradictory ideas. So if freedom of speech is so important, why do people keep trying to shut it down? Take New York State’s “Online Hate Speech Law”. Why is the State of New York attempting to get social media networks to act as government censors for them?
