
Over 1000 Delegates Voted Against Democrat Party Platform in Sign of Division
In 2016, many of Senator Bernie Sanders’ (D-VT) supporters were furious with the Democratic Party for what they believe was a deliberate attempt to give Hillary Clinton the nomination. As a result, about 1 in 10 voters in the progressive bloc cast their ballots for Donald Trump and he sailed to victory. Four years later, the party is once again feeling the rift between the two ideologies.
