Donald Trump Explains That Pelosi Destroyed Infrastructure Talks With A Single Word
In the continued fallout of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s shameful behavior on Wednesday, President Trump slammed the Speaker for the role she played in dissolving their planned talks on infrastructure.

ICYMI, on Wednesday morning, Speaker Pelosi held a closed-door meeting with other House Democratic leaders to discuss pursuing impeachment proceedings…just ahead of a scheduled meeting at the White House to discuss the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

On her way out the door from the meeting, Pelosi stopped briefly to talk with reporters and give them her feedback from the meeting, when she dropped this bomb:

She told the press she believed “the president is engaged in a cover-up.”

On her way to the White House.

Does she honestly think the president doesn’t own a television? The whole thing was live!

So Donald Trump slammed her back.

He walked into the meeting, shredded Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, canceled the meeting and gave his own remarks to the press in the Rose Garden.

Boom!

Trump explained that he was happy to hold the meeting, but that Pelosi’s accusations that he was involved in a “cover-up” were absurd.

“I don’t do cover-ups,” he said. “You people know that probably better than anybody.”

Trump explained that the meeting was ended over the “I-word,” saying that he was unwilling to deal with Democrats until they end the “phony” investigations used as an attempt to take down the president.

As well he shouldn’t!

The Democrats have no interest in working with the president on anything; this is all they’ve demonstrated in the last two years. They even shut down the federal government–almost twice!–for refusing to fund a border wall solely on the basis that they refused to give Trump any political victory with their budget.

Seriously? And they want to pretend like they were going to be fair on infrastructure talks?

Please.

Trump explained that there have already been investigations in the House, in the Senate, and the special counsel; all of which found no collusion, no obstruction.

He gave these remarks next to a sign which broke down the amount of money, time, and resources used by the Mueller investigation to conduct their witch hunt, which ultimately proved what we knew all along.

There was no evidence of collusion.

Period!

Trump explained how hard his administration has worked to prove there is nothing to hide.

“I’m the most transparent president probably in the history of this country,” he explained.

He also threw in a much-needed dig at reporters, telling them they “should be ashamed” of how they reported on the phony story.

“Not all of you, but some of you,” he clarified.

Officers subject to impeachment: "civil officers of the United States"

The Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach and remove the "The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States" upon a determination that such officers have engaged in treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. The Constitution does not articulate who qualifies as a “civil officer of the United States.”
Federal judges are subject to impeachment. In fact, 15 of 19 officers impeached, and all eight officers removed after Senate trial, have been judges.
Within the executive branch, any Presidentially-appointed "principal officer," including a head of an agency such as a Secretary, Administrator, or Commissioner, is a "civil officer of the United States" subject to impeachment.[1] At the opposite end of the spectrum, lesser functionaries, such as federal civil service employees, do not exercise “significant authority,” and are not appointed by the President or an agency head. These employees do not appear to be subject to impeachment, though that may be a matter of allocation of House floor debate time by the Speaker, rather than a matter of law.
The Senate has concluded that members of Congress (Representatives and Senators) are not "civil officers" for purposes of impeachment.[8] As a practical matter, expulsion is effected by the simpler procedures of Article I, Section 5, which provides "Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns, and Qualifications of its own Members... Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member." (see List of United States senators expelled or censured and List of United States Representatives expelled, censured, or reprimanded). In 1797, the House of Representatives impeached Senator William Blount of Tennessee,[9] However, after four days of debate, the Senate concluded that a Senator is not a "civil officer of the United States" for purposes of the Impeachment clause, and dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.[8][10] The House has not impeached a Member of Congress since Blount. As each House has the authority to expel its own members without involving the other chamber, expulsion has been the method used for removing Members of Congress. Expulsion removes the individual from functioning as a representative or senator because of their misbehavior, but unlike impeachment, expulsion cannot result in barring an individual from holding future office.

For you see, the world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.
