Why we published this Book: American School children and college students today are being subjected to what we call the “Liberal History Lesson.” ...which goes something like this:
America, say liberals, was a product of the enlightenment which was a rejection of Christianity. America, say liberals, was founded primarily by deists, not by Christians. The Constitution, say liberals, and particularly the First Amendment to the constitution erects a so called “wall of separation between church and state” that can not and must not be transgressed in any way. Moreover, say liberals, the government can not in any way support or favor religious faith. This philosophy, this misreading of American History; this mistaken interpretation of our Constitution has led to a relentless assault on America’s religious institutions and traditions by our educational system, the courts and throughout our popular culture. This little Booklet, “One Nation Under God” corrects the “Liberal History Lesson” and provides a powerful refutation to court rulings banning prayer from public schools; prohibiting the “Ten Commandments” from being posted in government buildings; outlawing nativity scenes, and other religious displays from public places.
On June 28,1787 the Constitutional Convention was deadlocked and embroiled in bitter controversy. Benjamin Franklin rose and made the following plea to the Delegates. “In the beginning of the contest with Great Britain when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the Divine Protection. Our prayers, Sir, were heard and were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending Providence in our favor. To that kind Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. Have we now forgotten that Powerful Friend? do we imagine we no longer need His assistance? I have lived long Sir, a long time, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth---- that God governs in the affairs of men and if a sparrow can not fall to the ground without His notice....is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?

Franklin at Convention 1787: We have been assured Sir, in His sacred writings that except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel. We shall be divided by our partial local interests. Our projects will be confounded and we ourselves will become a byword in future ages. I therefore, beg leave to move--- that henceforth prayer imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business and that one or more of the clergy of the city be requested to officiate in that service.---- Alexander Hamilton, a signer of the Constitution and one of America’s prominent founding fathers said this: “For my own part I sincerely esteem it is a system that without the Finger of God never could have been suggested and agreed upon by such a diversity of interests.” Hamilton also wrote about the important connection between political freedom and Christianity. “In my opinion, the present Constitution is the standard to which we are to cling. Under its banner bona fide must we combat our political foes, reflecting all changes but through the channel itself provided for Amendments. Alexander Hamilton at ratification of the Constitution: “I now offer you this outline of the plan they have suggested. let an association be formed to be denominated, “The Christian Constitutional Society” Its object to be first the support of the Christian religion and second: the support of the United States: I have carefully examined the evidence of the Christian Religion and if I was sitting juror upon its authenticity I would unhesitatingly give my verdict in its favor. I can prove its truths as clearly as any proposition ever submitted to the mind of man.”---- Hamilton was shot and killed by Aaron Burr in a dual on July 12,1804. Hamilton’s last dying words were: “I have a tender reliance on the mercy of the Almighty through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a sinner. I look to Him for mercy. Pray for me.”

Franklin: “Though I seldom attended any public worship I had still an opinion of its propriety and of its utility when rightly conducted. I regularly paid my annual subscription for the support of the only Presbyterian minister or meeting we had in Philadelphia. He used to visit me sometimes as a friend and admonish me to attend his administration.” --- In July of 1776 Congress appointed Franklin to a committee charted to develop a seal for the New United States of America, a seal that would capture the spirit and character of the new nation. this is what Franklin proposed: “Moses lifting up his wand and dividing the Red Sea and Pharaoh and his chariots overwhelmed with the waters: With this motto: REBELLION TO TYRANTS IS OBEDIENCE TO GOD!” Here is what Franklin wrote in a letter to the Ministry of France: “Whoever shall introduce into public affairs the principles of primitive Christianity will change the face of the world.” In addition Franklin wrote: “A Bible and a newspaper in every house, a good school in every district, all studied and appreciated as they merit, are the principal support of virtue, morality and civil liberty.”

Series 4:#17) Advice to Immigrants:
In a pamphlet titled “Information to those who would Remove to America” written for Europeans who were considering coming to America, Franklin made these observations: “Hence, bad examples to youth are more rare in America which must be a comfortable consideration to parents. To this may be truly added....that serious religion under its various denominations is not only tolerated but respected and practiced. Atheism is unknown there; infidelity rare and secret; so that persons may live to a great age in that country without having their piety shocked by meeting with either an atheist or an infidel.” The Divine Being seems to have manifested his approbation of the mutual forebearance and kindness with which the different denominations treat each other...by the remarkable prosperity with which He has been pleased to favor the whole country.

My name is Mr. EHIJATOR ADEBAYO, I am 33 years old and I based in Canada.
