I still remember riding with dad in the car as a teenager listening to Rush Limbaugh. Little did I know how his humor & conservative views (both dad & Rush) would shape who I am today. In a sea of media liberalism, a college dropout & failed disc jockey would start a movement for conservative Christian values that would inspire 2 generations. When he was told he would fail, ridiculed by the mainstream media & mocked, did he quit? No. When he went completely deaf and as he describes it "was driving a bus blind" doing his radio show, did he quit? No. When he found out he was dying from lung cancer, did he step away from that golden microphone to quietly fade away? No, he persevered and kept going because of his love for America, true conservative values & his audience. May we all have the perseverance, faith & courage that Rush portrayed. He truly took the talent that God "loaned" him and related with millions who were fortunate enough to listen to what he had to say. ❤️
