The Blue Wave was flushed and the Red Wave smashed against the propaganda media backed by probably hundreds of millions of dollars in free media promotion for the Democrats. The power of propaganda is incredible and the susceptibility of uninformed people to it could cause them to commit political suicide just to be part of the “in” crowd. Ramifications of this and other aspects of the election are what I’d like to explore now.
President Trump gambled that his campaigning could stop an almost “traditional” midterm loss of the House of Representatives to the Democrats. Unfortunately, his gamble didn’t quite work. However....
President Trump is personally responsible for preventing a worse outcome in the House of Representatives. His outsized rallies and personality without any doubt made the loss of the House of Representatives numerically less than it could have been. But it wasn’t enough to keep the House Republican so the deranged, cackling mob that passes for the Democrat Party has been empowered w/ the tools to legally harass, blame and try to destroy the lives of everyone surrounding President Trump.
This was a big win for Hillary, Obama, Eric Holder and all the other criminals from the last administration thanks to US Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusing himself from anything having to do w/ his job. The political climate and risk to Trump and the progress he needed to make gave Sessions cover to continue w/out the risk of getting fired. Now that the House is Democrat the possibility of any legal pursuit of the criminals is likely gone thanks to Sessions. The bargain that Trump got from that gamble was a fully funded military and a Supreme Court conservative lock if you exclude the plethora of improvements Trump accomplished. Sessions will be gone soon but I wish someone would tar and feather that jackass for the truly historic damage he did to not only President Trump but to the Presidency itself.
Trump’s gamble puts the wall’s progress in jeopardy since the Democrats will do everything possible to keep it from being built. However, I could foresee that Trump could ask the Army Corps of Engineers to build it using the $700 billion earmarked a year ago for the military. It could spare $21 billion and I’m not sure the Democrats could block that.
President Trump now has until January when the next Congress gets seated to pass his 10% tax cut for the middle class. If that is stalled until after January you can kiss that goodbye. The Democrats are going to fight to raise taxes and replace regulations on all manner of the industry that will very likely affect President Trump’s goal of a greater than 4% GDP’s, his goals of energy independence, etc. Trump needs to call the current Congress together and keep them holed up for the next couple months approving new conservative judges, legislation, etc. before the window of opportunity closes. We already know the impeachment threat is a joke since the Senate will stop it along w/ stupid legislation from the House that is designed to interfere w/ Trump’s agenda.
Expect the lying illiterate Democrats to subpoena Trump’s tax records. Frankly, I think Trump should tell them to pound sand since it has nothing to do w/ his presidency. However what I would LOVE to see is for Trump to replace Sessions w/ a really badass Attorney General who goes after Dianne Feinstein’s crooked business w/ the California High Speed Rail project where her husband, Richard Blum, is getting tens of millions, or the crooked real estate deals by Pelosi, or how Maxine Waters paid her daughter hundreds of thousands of dollars from public funds and on and on. For God’s sake, why is it always that Democrats can attack and point fingers but Republicans just have to act guilty and take it?
“Lock her up” could change to “lock them up”! Wouldn’t that be delicious?
What this election also demonstrated was both the power and the limits of propaganda. Ted Cruz won over Irish O’Roarke’s $80 million campaign pile and apparently so many tv ads even supporters of “Beto” were sick of them. And Oprah and Taylor Swift’s endorsements of Democrat socialists didn’t work. Yay for our side. But in so many of the other races Democrats still made enough progress to win the House by 32 seats; that’s substantial any way you cut it. Here in Florida, we had a race for governor pitting a smooth-talking Black socialist w/ a well-known criminal history, horrid performance as Tallahassee’s mayor and he came w/in a whisker of beating an outstanding Yale/Harvard/JAG decorated Navy veteran who won thank God. Just what the hell was that all about? You’d think people wouldn’t want a criminal running their lives, right? What happened?
Propaganda is what happened and it damn near installed a crime wave in place of government here in Florida. The threat was so real that friends of mine talked of selling homes in this state and leaving if Andrew Gillum had been elected instead of Ron DeSantis. The takeover of Texas, if it ever happened would make it almost impossible to ever elect another Republican president and the loss of Florida would be similarly crippling to conservatives. So propaganda is a clear and present danger to the Republic and will grow in importance in future elections. I could go on about the propaganda but it’s getting late. Besides that if you’re reading this I’m preaching to the choir; you already know about it.
In closing, I want to say that this was indeed a Red Wave. We conservatives kept the Democrats from getting more control than what they could have had. And look at the bright side: endless laughter over the loony statements coming from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the Democrats. Fortunately for us, they are truly idiots and will very likely make such asses of themselves that the 20
