Why we published this Book: American School children and college students today are being subjected to what we call the “Liberal History Lesson.” ...which goes something like this:

America, say liberals, was a product of the enlightenment which was a rejection of christianity. America, say liberals, was founded primarily by deists, not by christians. The Constitution, say liberals, and particularly the First Amendment to the constitution erects a so called “wall of separation between church and state” that can not and must not be transgressed in any way. Moreover, say liberals, the government can not in any way support or favor religious faith. This philosophy, this misreaching of American History; this mistaken interpretation of our Constitution has led to a relentless assault on America’s religious institutions and traditions by our educational system, the courts and throughout our popular culture. This little Booklet, “One Nation Under God” corrects the “Liberal History Lesson” and provides a powerful refutation to court rulings banning prayer from public schools; prohibiting the “Ten Commandments” from being posted in government buildings; outlawing nativity scenes, and other religious displays from public places.

Daily Bites of One Nation Under God:Series #1) Results of the Relentless Assault:

Certainly no one can deny the shocking moral decay we see all around us. Everywhere we look in secular society, traditional, moral and religious values and beliefs are under attack: On the news media; on TV programs, and throughout our popular culture. meanwhile the Boy Scouts are under siege. Pornography is easily accessible to kids; schools distribute condoms to children without the consent of parents. In schools today they talk about homoerotic films and teach children how to put on a condom, but mention Jesus and the anti-christian mob will crack down hard. Now that our schools have been wiped clean of christian influence, efforts are underway by anti-christian legal groups to completely “sanitize” our nation of any christian references by: *Removing “In God We Trust” from our currency; discontinuing opening each session of congress with prayer; *Ending Christmas as a National Holiday; and eliminating the rank of military chaplain from our Armed Services!

Daily Bites of One Nation Under God: Series #2) Setting the Record Straight:

This little booklet proves, beyond any doubt, that America was founded predominantly by Bible believing christians. American political institutions were constructed entirely upon christian principles. America’s Founding Fathers had in mind a government that would, not only be hospitable toward christianity, but would actually encourage and promote christianity and reverence for God, as the United States Supreme Court stated so clearly in 1892: “Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it could be otherwise; and in this sense and to the extent, our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.” This little booklet “One Nation Under God” is chock full of powerful and compelling statements by America’s Founding Fathers; American Presidents, great American Statesmen, in addition to Supreme Court Rulings and proclamations by Congress on the all important role of the christian faith in building our great nation. This book will prove to be an indispensable reference for christian teachers, students, politicians, law makers, and school board members. The quotations and statements can be used for journalism articles, letters to editors, school and college reports, communications to elected officials, and conversations with friends and loved ones. Daily Bites of “One Nation Under God” by Rev. John Dekker:Series #3)  President John Adams:

John Adams was America’s second president, George Washington’s Vice president, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a member of the Continental Congress. He also authorized the classical three volume work titled “A Defense of the Constitution of the Government of the United states.” It was Adams who urged Thomas Jefferson to draft the Declaration of Independence. It was Adams who recommended that Congress appoint George Washington to be Commander and Chief of the Continental Army and it was Adams who negotiated the final Treaty with Great Britain ending the Revolutionary war. In his diary, dated February 22,1756 John Adams wrote: “Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity toward his fellow man; to piety, love and reverence toward Almighty God. What a utopia; what a Paradise would this region be!”

Daily Bites of One Nation Under God: by Rev. John Dekker: Series #4) From John Adams’ Diary:

On July 1,1776, John Adams declared before the Continental Congress as the thirteen Colonies were ready to sever ties with Great Britain: “Before God, I believe the hour has come. My judgment approves this measure and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, and all that I am, and all that I hope in this life, I am now ready here to stake upon it. I leave off as I began, that live or die, survive or perish, I am for this Declaration. It is my living sentiment, and by the blessings of God it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now and Independence forever: Then, on July 3,1776, John Adams made this statement regarding America’s decision the previous day to declare independence from Great Britain: “The second day of July,1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America to be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival, commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty from one end of the continent to the other, from this time forward and forevermore.”

Daily Bites of One Nation Under God: by Rev. John Dekker: Series #5) Samuel Adams:

Known as the father of the American revolution, Sam Adams organized the famous Boston Tea Party: A landmark event that sparked the war of Independence from Great Britain. He also formed the committee of correspondence which organized the colonists to actively resist the authority of the British Government. A cousin of John Adams, Sam Adams was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and called the first Continental Congress. He served in the congress until 1781. Samuel Adams was a steadfast christian in his work. “The Rights of the Colonists” which was circulated in 1772 Adams boldly asserted: “The right to freedom being the gift of the Almighty God...the rights of the colonists as christians...may be best understood by reading and carefully studying “The Institutions of the Great Law Giver and Head of the Christian Church, which are to be found clearly written and promulgated (published) in the New Testament. As the declaration of Independence was being signed Sam Adams declared: “We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in Heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His Kingdom come.” In his last will and testament Sam Adams wrote these poignant words: “Principally, and first of all, I resign my soul to the Almighty Being who gave it, and my body I commit to the dust, relying on the merits of Jesus Christ for the pardon of my sin.”
