THE GREAT DECEIVER

Mark 14:10

Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them. 11 They were glad when they heard this, and promised to give him money. And he began seeking how to betray Him at an opportune time.

How so many forget that even Satan can take and use those closest to Jesus who witnessed his presence and many miracles with their own eyes and ears. How so many TODAY forget that powerful enemy of God who STILL goes about seeking to devour God’s children. How so many forget today how THE LOVE OF MONEY can cause a person to do mad, evil, despicable, horrible things to others.

If Satan can take over the minds and hearts of the religious leaders of Jesus’ day, even one of his own disciples, and move them into a place of jealousy, envy, greed, and pride to consume them and use them to falsely accuse Christ and scream out to “crucify, crucify, crucify” and murder this innocent Jesus, THEN CAN HE NOT DO THIS STILL IN OUR OWN DAY AND OWN TIMES? Has Satan stopped working to devour God’s children, the church, his kingdom on earth?

Americans, Satan has achieved a stronghold now in America. Many evil souls now work to crucify their enemies exposing them, those calling out evil. Many evils have come together to falsely accuse others and work up American citizens to turn from good and truth and love and unity. MANY ARE TAKING THEIR 30 PIECES OF SILVER over God, country, law, and order, justice for all.

Satan does not discriminate or play favorites with people. HE WILL CONSUME ANY SOUL, ANY CHILD OF GOD, regardless of their party name, the color of skin, gender, rich or poor, young or old. DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS? Do you forget or do not know your powerful enemy seeking to devour you before the sound of the trumpet comes with the arrival of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Have you allowed your mind and heart to be taken into the darkness of Satan’s lies and temptations and traps? ARE YOU CONSUMED IN PRIDE FOR YOUR OWN CHOICES, no matter who gets falsely accused, slandered, mistreated, targeted, abused, hurt, violated, raped, or even killed? ARE YOU? DO YOU ACCEPT THE PEOPLE CAUSING TROUBLE IN AMERICA OVER THE LORD GOD OF HEAVEN IN THESE DAYS? Are you feeding Satan’s workers and being his voices in these times God has placed you in?

GOD GIVES YOU FREEDOM TO CHOOSE HIM OR REJECT HIM. Should Jesus stand before you this very day, how would he find YOU? If death came to your door this VERY day, ARE YOU READY FOR JUDGEMENT? “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

Key Thought

This section of Mark began (in 14:1) with the enemies of Jesus plotting his death. It now ends with one of Jesus' own close followers offering to betray him to death. How sad! Rather than looking closely at Jesus' ministry and hearing what he had to say, his enemies were looking for the right time and place to kill him while Judas was looking for a way to betray Jesus. Jealousy and hate blind us to the truth about other people. That is why Jesus is so critical of the religious leaders. Let's remember that hate always blinds us to the truth about others and closes down our hearts about their true identities and value.
