DEMOCRATS WANT MILITARY TO TAKE CARE OF TRUMP

House Democrat implies a military coup should take place to stop Trump.

A House Democrat strongly implied that a military coup needs to take place to save the United States from President Donald Trump. As reported by The Daily Caller, Rep. Steve Cohen sent out a tweet on Monday strongly insinuating that America’s “military folks” need to take action against Trump following his joint news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Cohen was referring to Trump and Putin holding a news conference on Monday at a Summit in Finland. In his tweet, the Democrat questioned military people haven’t taken some action against the president and claimed Trump was in the hands of the enemy.

“Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, using language many believe suggests a military coup.

After Cohen’s comments racked up more than 7,000 replies on Twitter, he attempted to clarify his remarks by saying he was not calling for a coup against the president.

Cohen’s dangerous and highly questionable tweet came shortly after many in the liberal media fomented over the Trump-Russia news conference.

A CNN national security analyst said a “shadow government” should stop Trump before he destroys America and former Obama CIA Director John Brennan called Trump’s comments “treasonous.”

Some were upset that Trump didn’t give a strong defense of the United States intelligence community when asked about Russia attempting to meddle in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump said he trusts and supports the U.S. intelligence community, but added that Putin denied having any involvement in attempts to meddle in America’s election. Of course, Putin is a former KGB agent who many have argued is a bold-faced liar who cannot be trusted. And, the U.S. has determined that Russia did meddle in the election — to both hurt and help both candidates.

Others have noted that Trump’s actions against Russia show that he has been tougher on Putin’s regime than the Obama administration ever was.

The Trump administration has levied a handful of sanctions on Russia, pushed for NATO countries to increase spending to combat Russian aggression in the region, and the U.S. has sent military equipment to regional nations that surround Russia. Trump has made it very clear, through his actions, that the U.S. has been tough on Russia.

Many would agree that Trump could have been more vocal and forceful with his words toward Putin during the press conference, but the president’s actions speak the loudest.

Democrats like Cohen and Brennan have every right to make egregious and disturbing comments about Trump, but flirting with the idea of a military coup against a duly elected president is nothing to joke about.
