JUST IN: New Clinton Sex Scandal Explodes – ROCKS WASHINGTON DC

 

In a report that was circulated on Friday, workers in the Hillary Clinton’s and Bernie Sanders’ Democratic 2016 presidential campaigns alleged that they were harassed while working for the politicians. Additionally, the report claims that the managers of the campaigns did not properly address the issues. These are the latest sexual misconduct charges to blast through the Democratic party, following the widely circulated photo of Democratic Senator Al Franken grabbing at a woman’s breasts.
Lilian Adams, who worked for Clinton, and Zoey Jordan Salsbury, who was part of the Sanders primary campaign, told HuffPost that they were “sexually harassed by fellow campaign workers and that the campaigns were ‘ill-equipped’ to cope.”

An article on Breitbart explains that then 19-year-old Adams, who is bisexual, who moved to Colorado in order to work for the Clinton campaign, indicated that she had to listen to homophobic remarks while working on the campaign. The harassment, she said, included comments about her body as well as efforts to force her into vulnerable situations, to not wear bras, and to get her to

drink alcohol.

Adams originally told her superiors about this behavior in June. It then took months for them to finally fire her abuser, who then was, amazingly, rehired in October in order to work for the campaign in a different state. Needless to say, Adams was left in a state of shock, especially as Clinton had emphasized in her campaign the importance of treating women well.
The Breitbart article shared a statement by Adams, in which she said, “You have a lot of young passionate people who want to help change the world through Democratic politics. Older Democratic operatives see this passion and exploit it, putting us in an extremely stressful and unhealthy work environment.”

Salsbury, who was 18 when she was a Bernie volunteer, shared her story with the HuffPost, stating that one of the interns on the campaign made unwanted advances to her. Then, when Salsbury tried to have the situation rectified she found out that the Bernie campaign had no process that allowed for the effective resolution of the situation. Salsbury stated that there was a culture at the Bernie campaign that did not review office policies with the volunteers and that made no effort to establish explicit rules about harassment.

Clearly, with harassment issues being raised in the Franken, Sanders, and Clinton camps, among others, the Democrats have some serious issues to deal with so that they can ensure the safety of those who choose to work with them.
