‘Twas the night before the election, in 2016
And Hillary Clinton was waiting to be elected Queen
Sitting that evening surrounded by attorneys
Having stolen the nomination that should have been Bernie’s
Giggling and cackling and laughing with glee
Her face plastered all over on National TV
It was to be a given there wasn’t a chance
That it wouldn’t be her at the inauguration dance.
The pollsters were all predicting a quick total thrashing
Over the orange-haired man the media had been bashing
He hadn’t a chance, he was too obnoxious and rude
He tweeting and twittering was socially crude.
The night ended finally and she made it to bed
With visions of conquest playing in her head.
The morning was delightful, she awoken with a smile
Trying to decide on that pantsuit with presidential style.
She turned on her tv, permanently tuned to CNN
As they started her coronation before the voting could begin.
The exit polls were glorious, this couldn’t take long
She would be in the White House where Clintons belong.
The day crept by slowly, the east coast through voting
The announcers were smiling, the Democrats gloating.
Trump surged to the lead due to the South and Indiana
Some plain’s states up to the tip of Montana
But here started her blue, the liberals were reporting
New Jersey and Illinois, Trump’s lead was aborting.
Then California and Colorado, Hillary’s lead would swell.
But Trump won Florida, Georgia and Carolina and she thought “Oh Hell”
“Didn’t I have enough fraudulent voters,” she screams,
“To win those states I would win in my dreams!”
Trump’s lead had hit forty and her vision was blurring
She hit the bottle and her speech was slurring,
But when Pennsylvania and Ohio went beautifully red
She exploded in anger and grabbed her sore head.
CNN was silent, the commentators faces all unbelieving
Then Michigan went Trump and there was no more deceiving
The electoral votes had shown that Hillary was the loser
Now there would be Hell for the fake news abusers.
The people had spoken, tired of Obama regulations
They wanted to return to the top of all nations.
Tired of Obamacare, colluding with Isis
Benghazi, illegal immigration and national crisis.
The snowflakes were shattered, the tears started flowing
The Queen blaming Russians, the FBI, her excuses were growing.
Shock reigned supreme in the Democratic regime
Nightmare had won out and killed their sweet dream,
The Hollywood stars who had threatened to leave
Holed up in the mansions had started to grieve.
Conservative America was loud and elated
They killed the liberal agenda they hated.
Wearing their tee shirts and red caps on each head,
“Make America Great Again” was what they all said.
That day was the day, the voters saved their great nation,
From that most ungodly deceiver of this bitter generation.
So, saying our prayers and thanking the Master,
Who saved us from total and complete Hillary disaster.
As we plod onward slowly, despite the media’s raging hate
We stand behind our President as we all make America great.
